The Producer Responsibility Obligations (Packaging Waste) Regulations were first implemented in 1997, requiring many businesses in the UK to register and fulfil recycling and recovery obligations related to the amount of packaging they placed on the market.

One option is for businesses to register through an approved Compliance Scheme and Biffpack was one of the first to achieve approval. It now has over 500 members and has continually proved to be one of the most cost effective schemes in the market place.

Biffpack is part of Biffa the UK's leading provider of waste management services.
